BURRILLVILLE – May is Buckle Up America Month. Buckleupallofus reminds kids and families about the importance of wearing proper restraints while riding in vehicles. He reminds kids to Boost Up & Buckle Up in vehicle backseats, and reminds adults to properly restrain infants and toddlers in rear-facing car seats in backseats. He also reminds teens and adults to wear seatbelts while driving and riding as passengers in vehicles.

Buckleupallofus is a big hit with kids and families at area car shows, cruise nights, race tracks, festivals, fairs, parades, community events, police department open houses and fire department musters and barbecues during the warmer months ahead. He is a showcase attraction at these types of venues as a big blue and red giant dinosaur character balloon standing more than ten feet tall, has a great big smile and a seatbelt for a tail. Thousands of Buckleupallofus child passenger safety coloring cartoon posters, fridge magnets, stickers and full color posters are passed out free to children and families starting in May through the end of October every year. Memorial Day weekend is the start of the summer season of automotive events and festivities. Every weekend, throughout the month of May, we will be featuring a Buckleupallofus child passenger safety coloring cartoon and article related to safe summer traveling across the state and region.

This week’s Buckleupallofus kids safety coloring cartoon features blank blocks around the artwork for kids to write down the places that they safely visited while riding in the family vehicle with their families during the upcoming summer months. The cartoon is something they can look at, and have on display in their bedrooms that reminds them about the great places they visited together as a family. It will also remind them to always buckle up for safety every single time they write down where they visited and then put back on display on their walls.

Have a great month of May and stay safe while riding in vehicles wherever you travel.
