The town held its annual budget hearing on Monday, April 22 to present the proposed plan for the upcoming fiscal year, scheduled for vote on Tuesday. May 21. Residents can view the preliminary town budget here and the school budget here.

Dog licenses due
Dog licenses are due in the town of Glocester during the month of April, with the deadline fast approaching. To obtain a license, residents must show proof of rabies inoculation and apply at the office of the Town Clerk at 1145 Putnam Pike, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The cost for the annual license is $7.

Big Bobby’s Q will hold a backyard BBQ class at Chepachet Union Church at 1138 Putnam Pike on Saturday, April 27 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Learn to smoke the best pulled pork, chicken and ribs, with free Manchester pellets for attendees. Be Yourself Comedy Fundraiser
Tavern on Main at 1157 Putnam Pike will host a comedy fundraising event on Tuesday, April 30 with doors at 6 p.m. and the show to start at 7:30 p.m. The 18 plus event will feature top local comedians and include a buffet dinner, cash bar, raffles, auctions and a 50/50 drawing, with proceeds to benefit the Be Yourself Foundation. Tickets cost $45 and can be purchased here.
