Northern, RI – Sure, we’ll have some clouds, but the weather is improving steadily in northern Rhode Island, and this weekend’s indoor activities include a chance to watch dogs in an agility competition, arts and craft-making events, live music and much more.

Welcome to The Weekend, our roundup of everything happening over the next few days in right here in northern RI.

Tonight, stay warm and dry in Lindy Tavern’s outdoor venue, the Plastic Palace, with entertainment by The Live Music Band. On Saturday, there’s a Yankee Weimaraner & Teamwork AKA Agility Trial at Wide World of Indoor Sports, and Sunday’s entertainment includes some special concerts with Music at the Meeting House and at Pascoag’s Grace Note Farm.

Cemetery cleanup, Hopkins/Potter/Marsh Cemetery, intersection of Howard Avenue and Charles Street, Pascoag, 8 a.m.-noon. The Burrillville Historical & Preservation Society is asking volunteers to bring rakes; brush loppers; leaf blowers, tarps or carts to haul leaves; chain saws; hand saws; gloves and water to drink. Rabies clinic, Chepachet Fire Station, 1170 Putnam Pike, Chepachet, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Shots cost $20 and must be paid in cash. Proof of current rabies vaccination is necessary to receive a three year shot. All dogs must be leashed and cats must be in a carrier. You do not need to be a resident to obtain a rabies vaccination.

Music at the Meeting House concert, Chepachet Baptist Church, 1213 Putnam Pike, Chepachet, 2:30 p.m. The show will be dedicated to the song “Amazing Grace,” and how the hymn was written. The song will be sung by the Greenville Baptist Church Choir, and played variously with bagpipe, trumpet, handbells, English Horn, violin and viola, guitar, and pipe organ. Refreshments will follow.
