BURRILLVILLE – A 20-year-old Massachusetts man is facing charges following the discovery of a teenage girl from Burrillville dead inside a home in Stow.

The death of 17-year-old Nevaeh Goddard is being investigated as suspicious, according to reports.

Police responded to a home in Stow for a well-being check around 4:30 p.m. on Friday, April 5. They reportedly met with Shane Curry, 20, of Stow, at the door – and he refused to let investigators inside the residence for nearly two hours.

When officers finally entered the home, they found Goddard, who was reportedly Curry’s girlfriend, dead inside.

Curry was arrested and charged with assault and battery on a household or family member, and causing serious bodily injury.

Stow authorities have said that the chief medical examiner is conducting an autopsy to determine the cause and manner of Goddard’s death, and additional charges may be coming.

Curry is expected to be arraigned in Concord District Court.
