BURRILLVILLE – A teenager from Connecticut is facing the charge of assault with intent to murder, and a Burrillville man is in critical condition, following a stabbing in a Pascoag home Sunday night.

Col. Stephen Lynch said that police were called to 1 Lake Drive around 9:15 p.m. on Sunday, March 24 for reports that a 23-year-old adult male residing at the home had become involved in an altercation with three juveniles from Windsor, Conn.

The juveniles, age 16, 17 and 17, were reportedly at the location to pick up the 23-year-old’s girlfriend, who had engaged in an argument with the man. Lynch said that one of the 17-year-olds attacked the 23-year-old with a knife, stabbing him multiple times in the chest before all three juveniles then fled the scene.

The victim was transported by Pascoag Rescue to Rhode Island Hospital where he remains in critical, but stable, condition from multiple stab wounds, according to Lynch.

The juveniles returned to Burrillville Police Headquarters later in the evening, each with a parent or guardian, in connection with the investigation.

On Monday, the juvenile who stabbed the Burrillville man and was held overnight at Burrillville Police Headquarters was charged in Providence Family Court.
