Scavenger Hunt

The Burrillville Parks & Recreation Department’s annual Easter Scavenger Hunt begins on Tuesday, March 5, with children to submit completed forms through Friday, March 22. Find Easter bunnies at locations throughout town for a chance to win prizes.

Entertainment For All

The Assembly Theatre at 26 East Ave. will hold Entertainment For All on Friday, March 8, starting at 7 p.m., an evening to celebrate accessibility and support R.A.M.P. – Real Access Motivates Progress. The town-based non-profit organization started by Tina Guenette-Pedersen educates and advocates for accessibility and inclusion. Tickets cost $20 and can be purchased here.

Book sale

Friends of Jesse Smith Memorial Library will host a book sale on Saturday, March 9 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Stillwater Room. Selections will include fiction and non-fiction books for teens, children and adults to benefit the library.

While you’re there, drop in at the Children’s Department between 10:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. for a Pete the Cat Party for kids.

Survey

Burrillville Public Schools are asking Bronco families to fill out a brief survey to let them know how they’re doing. The Rhode Island Department of Education Survey Works family survey takes around 20 minutes and can be completed online here.

Seed starting

Burrillville Seventh Day Adventist Church at 854 Victory Highway will host a seed starting workshop on Sunday, March 10 starting at 2 p.m. with Carol Horta, master gardener and president of the Gentian Garden Club. The event is free and all are welcome to attend.

Town meetings

The Burrillville Planning Board will hold a meeting on Monday, March 4 starting at 7 p.m. in the community room at Jesse Smith Library at 100 Tinkham Lane. The agenda is here.

The Burrillville Budget will hold a meeting on Thursday, March 7 starting at 6:30 p.m. at 105 Harrisville Main St. The agenda is here.
