Northern, RI – Dancing anyone?

Get ready to shake it this weekend, northern Rhode Island, with local events to include country line dance lessons, a karaoke dance party and a chance to join in with a dancing witch troupe.

The events are among many in our tri-town community, which also include plenty of live entertainment, crafting workshops, a brunch party and more.

The Lenten Friday Fish Fry is underway at Shrine of the Little Flower.

Friday, March 1

We Are the North Beer Crawl, Bravo Brewing Company, 75 Pascoag Main St., Pascoag. All weekend long in participation with Lops Brewing & Ravenous Brewing. Visit three locations for a chance to win.

Fish Fry, Shrine of the Little Flower/St. Therese’s , 35 Dion Drive, Harrisville, 4-7 p.m. Dine in or take out.

Bingo, Chepachet Grange, 28 Chopmist Hill Road, Doors at 5 p.m., games at 6 p.m. $10 admission, food and drink available

Burrillville Boys Hockey vs Barrington, Levy Rink, 425 East Ave., Burrillville, 6 p.m. Free admission for Burrillville students. First playoff game. Ponaganset Chieftains vs Cranston, 7:45 p.m. Dinolicious on site

Meat raffle, Pascoag Cafe, 150 Main St., Pascoag, 6 p.m. $2 per ticket or $10 for 6

Line dancing, Toti’s Tavern, 8 Callahan School St., Harrisville, 7 p.m. $10 admission, 21 plus, with lessons and requests

Knitting Circle, The Hen House, 1189 Putnam Pike, Chepachet, 10 a.m.-noon Every Saturday. Bring in any project – knit, crochet, or other needlework – you are working on. The group also enjoys doing yarn swaps, needle/hook swaps and book/pattern swaps.

Teen volunteer hours, North Smithfield Public Library, 20 Main St., Slatersville, 10 a.m.-noon. Volunteer opportunity for those in grades 6-12, looking for community service hours. View more information here.
