BURRILLVILLE – Police departments across the state of Rhode Island, New England and nationwide show their continued support for the award-winning Buckleupallofus Child Passenger Safety Campaign. February is Buckleupallofus Cross Your Heart Month. These state troopers and police officers are committed to making sure that children are properly restrained in car seats, booster seats and seatbelts.

Buckleupallofus is utilized by police departments across the USA in an effort to help keep kids safer in vehicle backseats. They distribute thousands of Bucky coloring posters and fridge magnets to kids and families at grade schools, community events and classic car shows while also displaying Bucky banners and posters everywhere reminding people to buckle up for safety.

Kids and families view these important traffic safety messages while traveling on the road while kids take home plenty of Bucky vehicle safety items to display in their residences given to them by law enforcement.

Remember everyone: Cross your heart with your seatbelt…somebody loves you!

Kids can find the Buckleupallofus Cross Your Heart Month coloring posters at a variety of locations in Rhode Island, Connecticut and Massachusetts throughout the month. You may even find them in your own grade schools, libraries and daycares this Valentines Day.

Jim Weicherding is a Burrillville resident, and the founder and creator of an award-winning traffic safety effort Seasons of Safety. Weicherding contributes kids’ coloring cartoons, which can be printed and used to help parents discuss safety issues with their children. He has a long list of police officers and firefighters in his family and has worked with law enforcement and firefighters in a creative public safety capacity for more than two decades.
