BURRILLVILLE – The Seasons of Safety coloring campaign is coming to kids and families across the state of Rhode Island this year.
Dozens of individually created, printed and published child safety coloring posters, coloring books, posters, stickers and refrigerator magnets related to seasonal, holiday and federally-recognized safety weeks and months throughout the year, will be available at numerous police departments, fire departments, brick-and-mortar retail locations, automobile dealerships, gas stations, convenience stores, car washes, community events, sporting events, media events and classic car shows, just to list a few, to help remind kids and families about their safety statewide.
Nearby New England states, such as Connecticut and Massachusetts, are also introducing the Seasons of Safety coloring campaign to children and their families in the hopes of keeping their residents safer throughout the year. The Rhode Island Governor’s Highway Safety Office is partnering with the Buckleupallofus Child Passenger and Vehicle Safety, along with the Safe and the Serious vehicle and traffic safety campaigns this year to reach many children, teenagers, young adults and families statewide about their safety.
This public safety partnership will also include bike and protective gear safety as well as pedestrian safety involving educational and awareness materials being distributed and displayed in Rhode Island cities, towns and communities as part of the yearlong ongoing safety outreach efforts. Weekly safety radio spots are broadcast and podcast every Saturday on the O-N Radio station in Woonsocket on their popular oldies and classic rock radio song request show called the Saturday Block Party from 4-7 p.m. with Cruisin’ Bruce Palmer.
Kids can color in this week’s Buckleupallofus Seasons Of Safety coloring cartoon, and their families can also view a list of locations where these popular take home items will be available in their own neighborhoods. Seasonal safety coloring cartoons and materials will change often and target specific seasonal, holiday and focus weeks safety messages for kids and families. You can also expect to see them featured here throughout the year reminding kids and families about their safety.
