State police arrest Mapleville man wanted for sexual assault in Burrillville

LINCOLN — A Mapleville man was arrested at a local casino by state police on New Year’s Day for vandalism, and turned over to the Burrillville Police Department, where he had an outstanding warrant for a sexual assault charge.

Nathan Laramee, 18, of 12 Cold Spring Ave. was picked up by the Rhode Island State Police Gaming Enforcement Unit around 7:40 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 1 on one count of vandalism/malicious damage to property.

According to a release from RISP, Larramee was apprehended without incident on the casino floor and transported to the Lincoln Barracks for processing. Larramee’s bail on that charge was set at $1,000 personal recognizance, and he was turned over to Burrillville.

In Burrillville, Larramee was wanted for one count of felony second degree sexual assault stemming from an incident on Monday, Dec. 11, as a result of a lengthy investigation conducted by local officers, according to BPD.

Laramee was held overnight and transported to the RI 6th District Court the following morning for his arraignment, where his bail was set at $5,000 personal recognizance, and he was order to have no contact with the victim. He is due back in court on Monday, April 22.
