PROVIDENCE – The Providence County Grand Jury returned an indictment this week charging a Harrisville man with one count of first-degree child molestation, and four counts of second-degree child molestation.
John Souza, 60, was indicted on Monday, Dec. 18 for charges stemming from incidents in Burrillville on dates between July 1, 2022, and April 1, 2023, according to a release from the Attorney General’s office. Souza was arrested in July following an investigation by Burrillville police that included interviews with two reported victims, ages 10 and 12.
Souza is scheduled to be arraigned on Wednesday, Jan. 10, 2024 in Providence County Superior Court.
