Blood drive, Skate Night & short film premiere: Five things to know in Burrillville this week

All was warm and bright at a Holiday Vendor Fair held at Mapleville Farm over the weekend.

BPD Blood Drive

The Burrillville Police Department will hold a blood drive on Tuesday, Dec. 19 from 1-7 p.m. in the community room of the station at 1477 Victory Highway. Donors can make an appointment by visiting ribc.org/drives using sponsor code 5060. Walk in donations are also welcome.

DAVID premiere

Former Burrillville High School student Hayden Dupuis will hold a premiere of his first short film DAVID at the Pascoag Fire Department at 105 Pascoag Main St. on Wednesday, Dec. 20 starting at 7 p.m. Dupuis wrote and directed the film, shot in and around Burrillville. Guests are invited to bring snacks, drinks, and blankets to watch the show in the station’s second floor recreation hall.

Calendars

Pascoag Utility District now has 2024 Earth Day Calendars available, illustrated by Burrillville children in grades K-5. The calendars feature energy and recycling tips, information on PUD rebate programs and town event dates, and are available free of charge at 253 Pascoag Main St.

Skate night

The Burrillville Junior Hockey League will hold an Open Skate Night on Friday, Dec. 22 from 6 to 7:45 p.m. at Levy Rink at 425 East Ave. The event is open to the public for a cost of $7 at the door, and free skate rentals will be available.   

Town meetings
