BPD Awards Ceremony
The Burrillville Police Department will hold its annual Awards Ceremony and Heroes in Our Community Celebration on Thursday, Dec. 14 starting at 6:30 p.m. in the auditorium of Burrillville High School at 425 East Ave. The public is invited to join the BPD in honoring law enforcement and citizen achievements from the past year.
Elf, the Musical
Rhode Island Stage Ensemble will perform Elf:The Musical at The Assembly Theatre with shows at 7:30 p.m. from Thursday through Sunday, Dec. 14 through 17, plus a matinee on Saturday at 2 p.m. Based on the holiday film, follow Buddy the Elf in his quest to find his true identity.
Tickets cost $27 for general admission or $23 for seniors, students and military members and can be purchased at www.ristage.org. A $2 fee will be added for tickets purchased at the door at the theater at 26 East Ave.
Zambarano hiring
A hiring event to staff the Burrillville campus of Eleanor Slater Hospital will take place at Jesse Smith Memorial Library at 100 Tinkham Lane on Saturday, Dec. 16 from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Eleanor Slater has partnered with LIUNA Local 808 and UNAP for the event to recruit RNs, CNAs, janitors and cook’s helpers. Kid’s Holiday Crafts Fair
Art Box Studio at 180 Tinkham Lame will hold their annual Kid’s Holiday Craft Fair on Saturday, Dec. 16 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Stop by the fair to support young creatives selling handmade items while you do some Christmas shopping.
