BURRILLVILLE – Emergency personnel rescued trapped passengers, and four people were transported to the hospital with minor injuries following a rollover crash Tuesday night on Callahan School Street, according to police.

The driver, a juvenile female, was later charged with driving under the influence, four counts of driving to endanger and reckless operation.

Police were reportedly called to the area at 9:50 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 21 and found a vehicle on its side, with two passengers trapped inside. Three additional passengers had self extricated, according to a release on the incident by Burrillville Police Major Albert Carlow.

Carlow noted that on-scene officers detected signs of substance use, which lead to an investigation.

Four juveniles and one adult male, age 25, were freed from the vehicle, and transported by rescue to various hospitals with injuries that “appeared minor in scope,” according to police.

Carlow said the case is still under investigation by Burrillville police.
