Bread for grads

The Burrillville High School Class of 2024 is holding a fundraiser, selling fresh baked bread from Texas Roadhouse to support their overnight graduation celebration. The cost is $6 for a dozen frozen rolls and homemade honey cinnamon butter. Orders must be placed by Tuesday, Nov. 14 and pickup will be held from 4 to 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 21 by the entrance of Burrillville High School at 425 East Ave.

Santa calling

Register now with the Burrillville Parks & Recreation Department to receive a phone call from Santa this holiday season. Burrillville children in grades 2 and under will get a chance to speak with Santa on the phone sometime between Wednesday, Nov. 29 and Sunday, Dec. 3 to tell him their holiday wishes. The registration deadline is Wednesday, Nov. 22 by calling the Burrillville Holiday Hotline at (401) 568-9470.

At the brewery

Visit Bravo Brewing Company in Pascoag for two fun events this weekend.

On Friday, Nov. 17 catch a performance by The Live Music Band from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. with Little B’s BBQ food truck available on site.

On Saturday, Nov. 18, the Burrillville Farmer’s Market will hold a seasonal pop up shop at the brewery from 1 to 4 p.m. Visit with local farmers, artisans and more, with live music by Jesse Desorcy. Nanu the Burmese Fusion will also be on site.

Plow driver wanted

The town of Burrillville is now accepting applications for an on call seasonal snow plow driver. The temporary position involves driving the town plow as needed for $24 an hour with no benefits. Applications are available at the Town Clerk’s office or the town website, and must be submitted by Thursday, Nov. 30 at noon.

Cashmere sale

Alashan Cashmere at 866 Bronco Highway will hold its annual sample sale on Friday, Nov. 17 from 5 to 8 p.m. and Saturday, Nov. 18 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The sale features discounts on surplus inventory, including men’s and women’s apparel, home accessories and more.

The Pascoag Fire District will hold a meeting on Monday, Nov. 13 starting a 7 p.m. at Station 2 at 141 Howard Ave. The agenda is here.

The Burrillville Personnel Board will hold a meeting at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 14 at Town Hall at 105 Harrisville Main St. The agenda is here.

The Burrillville School Committee will hold a meeting on Tuesday, Nov. 14, in the Burrillville High School media center at 425 East Ave., with an executive meeting starting at 5:30 p.m. and a public meeting starting at 6 p.m.
