Mud Dodgeball
A Mud Dodgeball Tournament Fundraiser will be held on Saturday, Sept. 30 at Goodwin Brothers Farm to raise funds for Evan’s Crew and Artisan Bridge. Players of all ages are invited to register teams of six in advance here at a cost of $120, and spectators can attend for $5. Registration will begin at 1 p.m. with round robin games from 2 to 4 p.m.
Fun Run
The North Smithfield Parent Teacher Organization’s annual Fun Run will be held on Friday, Sept. 29, with students collecting donations to be used for school supplies, field trips, the 4th grade step up ceremony, and events and experiences throughout the year. North Smithfield Elementary School has raised $22,879 so far through the event, with 43 percent of students registered.

Land Trust Trail Walk
The North Smithfield Land Trust will hold a guided trail walk of the Booth Pond Conservation Area on Saturday, Sept. 30 from 1 to 3 p.m., with participants to meet by the trailhead at the entrance to The Club apartment complex inside Dowling Village.
The first half of the walk, which he trust notes is of moderate difficulty, will visit the pond, and guides will return to drop off those who do not wish to go further. The second half includes challenging sections with uphill and downhill terrain, and a scenic overlook.
No registration is necessary for the free hike, which is open to all ages, and participants are advised to wear comfortable hiking shoes and bring water.
Fall Artisan Fair
The Beef Barn Restaurant will host a Fall Artisan Fair on Saturday, Sept. 30 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the grounds of the business at 200 Victory Highway. The rain date for the event is Sunday, Oct. 1.
