Field Day

Glocester Field Day, originally scheduled for July 14, was postponed to this week and will take place Thursday, July 27 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Kent Field Pavilion at 1111 Putnam Pike. The event includes arts and crafts, a bounce house, a home run derby, obstacle course, water slide, food trucks, whack-a-mole and more.

Recreation

Folk Duo Atwater-Donnelly will play the town’s summer concert series on Wednesday, July 26 with a night of songs and stories at the Kent Field Pavilion starting at 6:30 p.m.

John Fuzek will play a free concert at Sundays in the Village at the pavilion on Sunday, July 30 at a weekly event that includes vendors, food trucks and more from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., with music to start at noon.

Yard sale/Vendor Fair

The Glocester Heritage Society will hold its annual fundraiser yard sale/vendor fair on Saturday, July 29 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 1043 Putnam Pike. Visit to shop local crafts, antiques and more.

Ice Cream Social

The Hen House at 1189 Putnam Pike will host an Ice Cream Social on Saturday, July 29 from noon to 3 p.m. Ice creams will cost $6 per person and come with choices of a variety of toppings

Town meetings

The Glocester Recreation Committee will hold a meeting on Tuesday, July 25 starting at 6:30 p.m. at Town Hall at 1145 Putnam Pike. The agenda is here.
