Virtual Job Fair
Eleanor Slater Hospital and the Rhode Island Department of Labor and Training will hold a virtual job fair on Thursday, July 27 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., focused on openings at Burrillville’s Zambarano campus. The hospital has openings for registered nurses, certified nursing assistants, licensed practical nurses and cook’s helpers.
Job seekers who attend will be able to talk with Eleanor Slater employees, ask questions and learn more about the openings and the hospital, as well as the application process.
Eleanor Slater Hospital is operated by the state’s Department of Behavioral Healthcare, Developmental Disabilities and Hospitals. The hospital treats patients with acute and long-term medical illnesses, as well as patients with mental health conditions.

Spring Lake’s Family Fun Fridays continue this week with a retro movie night showing of E.T. at 7 p.m., along with family activities throughout the day sponsored by the Burrillville Prevention Action Coalition. The beach is open late for the weekly events, weather permitting.
On Saturday, July 29, the Burrillville Farmer’s Market takes place at the Stillwater Mill pavilion from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday evening, the Riverwalk Times concert series continues at the same location with a free concert by Country Wild and Dinolicious food truck on site.
Speaking of food trucks, there will be more than a few on the grounds of the Assembly Theatre on Sunday, July 30 during an event by PVD Food Trucks. The events feature also live music and libations, along with a variety of foods starting at 4:30 p.m.
Attendance is free and tickets are not required, just pay for what you eat and drink from a great variety of food trucks accepting cash, credit, and debit cards. Guests are invited to make themselves at home on the lawn and bring chairs and blankets.
