Summer Concert
The Glocester Recreation Department has announced that Whiskey Rhode Band will perform at this week’s summer concert scheduled for Wednesday, July 12. The band will play a free show at the Kent Field Pavlion at 1111 Putnam Pike, starting at 6:30 p.m.
Goat cuddles
The new Rusty Buckle Petting Zoo at 138 Tourtellot Hill Road has announced that they’re offering a new way to relax on the weekends: snuggling with baby goats. The business now offers one hour sessions on Saturdays and Sundays where visitors can brush, cuddle or feed the goats at a cost of $10 per guest, $7 for kids ages 3 to 8 or free for children under 3. Ice Cream Social
July is National Ice Cream month and Who Cut the Cheesecake? at 1195 Putnam Pike is celebrating with a special event on Saturday, July 15. Join author Thea Fielding-Lowe for the sweet treat and a reading of her new activity/coloring book “Yummy, Ice Cream,” starting at 1 p.m. The book contains coloring sheets and games for kids 3-10.
Sunday in the Village
On Sunday, July 16, Radio Cat: David Cross will perform a free show at the Kent Field Pavilion as part of the town’s weekly Sundays in the Village event. The events run from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m, with vendors, food and more, and music set to begin at noon.
