BURRILVILLE – A pole fire in the area of Union Avenue caused a power outage for more than 400 customers in the Pascoag Utility District, according to information released by the company Monday morning.

Crews were dispatched to the area for repairs, and restored service in less than an hour, PUD noted.

The circuit serves 872 of PUD’s nearly 5,000 customers, and roughly half in the boundary – or 428 – were without power as of 9:30 a.m. The area includes Chapel Street, along with portions of Centennial, Hill and Pascoag Main Streets.
