Rescheduled fair

Glad Tidings Community Church will host its third annual Food Truck and Vendor Fair on Saturday, June 17 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 111 Victory Highway. The event was rescheduled from June 3 to the rain date this week and will feature reptiles, a bouncy house and special guest appearances from the Rhode Island State Police and RIDEM Division of Forest Environment and more. Proceeds will support GT Kids summer programming.

Yard sale

The Glocester Heritage Society will hold its annual yard sale fundraiser on Saturday, June 17 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Dr. Reuben Mason House at 1043 Putnam Pike. Free parking is available at Acote’s Field.

Walking Club

The Glocester Libraries’ Walking Club will take on the Wolf Hill Forest Preserve on Wednesday, June 14, with hikes continuing on Wednesdays throughout the summer. Wolf Hill is a Smithfield Land Trust property offering several miles of beautiful trails, including the WWII Memorial Trail. The group will meet at the trail head directly on Waterview Drive in Smithfield at 8 a.m.

Bikes, Hikes & the Likes

The Glocester Recreation Department will offer a new program this summer dubbed Bikes, Hikes & the Likes. The program, suited for both newbies and seasoned adventurers, will include on and off road cycling and hiking.Introduction to Cycling will be held on Saturdays starting at 8 a.m., with participants to meet in the Ponaganset Athletic Fields parking lot.

The Glocester Housing Authority will hold a meeting on Tuesday, June 13 starting at 7 p.m. in the community room of Pine Meadow at 56 Victory Highway. The agenda is here.
