With spring in the air, there are plant sales, and a garden opening, and The Island will host its first night of the live music this season under the covered pavilion, rain or shine.

Aldi’s market parking lot, Dowling Village, North Smithfield (meeting spot,) NSHA Heritage Walk of Crookfall Brook, 9:30 a.m. Walkers will observe Woonsocket Reservoir #1 and the massive abandoned Pump House, and visit Woonsocket Reservoir #2 and the historic mill site, as well as the dam on Spring Brook.
Job Armstrong’s Shopkeepers Garden, 1181 Putnam Pike, Glocester, Glocester Heritage Gardens garden opening, 10 a.m. to noon. Join URI Master Gardeners as they plant seeds and baby plants. Bring your gardening questions and get a free resource sheet full of information to help you become a better gardener.
The Beef Barn Restaurant, 200 Industrial Drive, North Smithfield, Spring Artisan Fair, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Visit with local artists and crafters at this outdoor event, the second held on the grounds of the business.
Black Hut & Sweet’s Hill, Burrillville, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The Burrillville Land Trust will host a 4-mile, moderate level hike led by Lego artist Andrew Grover along with members of the BLT and the Burrillville Historical & Preservation Society. Mulberry Vineyards, 95 Pound Road, Chepachet, Mother’s Day Wine & Cheesecake, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Mulberry Vineyards and Who Cut the Cheesecake are partnering up to bring together the best dessert and wine. Tickets cost $15 here.

Each guest receives unlimited dynamites and two beer tickets. Raffles and “LiveLikeMark” t-shirts and bracelets.
