RIPTA hearing
The Rhode Island Public Transit Authority will hold public hearings on proposed service changes to the 282 Flex Pascoag/Slatersville schedule. RIPTA is proposing to extend 282 Flex Service to Dino’s Park-N-Shop in Chepachet upon request.
The public hearing will be held on Monday, May 8 at Burrillville Town Hall at 105 Harrisville Main St. from 4:15 to 5:15 p.m.
Tea & Fashion Show
Berean Baptist Church will host a Mother’s Day Tea and Fashion Show on Saturday, May 13 in the Granger Hall auditorium at 474 Chapel St. from 2 to 4 p.m. The event is open to the public for a $5 entrance fee, and will feature tea, baked goods, a gift table and raffles.
Brain games
Jesse Smith Memorial Library will have drop in brain games for adults on Thursdays, May 11 and 18 from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. in the reading area. The library will offer a variety of activities and games with brain healthy fun for adults age 18 and up.
Cemetery Hike
The Burrillville Land Trust will host a 4-mile hike on Saturday, May 13 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., to include areas of Black Hut & Sweet’s Hill. Lego artist Andrew Grover will lead the moderate-level hike, along with members of the BLT and the Burrillville Historical & Preservation Society. A reception will follow.
