AG charges Glocester couple with child abuse

GLOCESTER –A couple arrested by Glocester police in January has been charged with child abuse in Providence County Superior Court by the state Attorney General’s office.

Jeremy Wright, 37, and Xiomary Wright, 42, are both facing charges of second degree child abuse, according to a release from Rhode Island Attorney General Peter Neronha.

According to Neronha, the Wrights were arrested by Glocester Police in January earlier for physically abusing a child. The Glocester Police Department conducted the investigation, but the circumstances surrounding the incident have not been made public.

Both suspects are are scheduled to appear in court on Monday, June 12 for a pre-arraignment conference.
