Re-opening

After a brief closing and relocation, The Angels Shopping Boutique and Psychic Studio will hold a grand reopening on Wednesday, March 1 from noon to 8 p.m. at 46 North Main St. in Pascoag. The event will feature refreshments throughout the day, as well as Reiki, readings and a raffle.

Land Trust raffle

The Burrillville Land Trust has started another scratch ticket fundraising raffle to benefit the organization’s ongoing conservation efforts in Burrillville, including the purchase of Sweet’s Hill.

The first prize in the drawing, to be held Friday, March 31 at 6 p.m. at Bravo Brewing Company in Pascoag, will be a roll of 100 $5 tickets from the Massachusetts lottery. The second prize will be 50 $2 tickets.

Tickets cost $20 and can be purchased outside next to the First Universalist Church on Harrisville Main Street on Saturday, March 4 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. or by calling Roberta Lacey at (401) 368-0930.

Lenten Fish Fry

The Shrine of the Little Flower/St. Theresa’s Church at 35 Dion Drive has begun holding fish fry dinners once again, to continue every week through Lent. Dinners include fish and chips, hand cut coleslaw, and the grape-nut pudding, and cost $12 for a small serving or $15 for large, with both dine-in and takeaway options.

Orders can be placed starting at 4 p.m. by calling (401) 568-3057. All proceeds will benefit the church.

School survey

Officials from Burrillville High School and Middle School are asking students, teachers, support professionals, administrators, and parents to take part in a survey sharing their experience at the schools.

SurveyWorks is designed to provide educators with formative feedback data to impact classroom practice and school improvement. The survey should take around 20 minutes and can be completed on a phone, computer or tablet by choosing your school at bit.ly/ridefamily

Town meetings

The Burrillville Redevelopment Agency will hold a meeting on Tuesday, Feb. 28 starting at 7 p.m. in the community room of Jesse Smith Memorial Library at 100 Tinkham Lane. The agenda is here.

The Burrillville Budget Board will hold a meeting on Thursday, March 2 starting at 6:30 p.m. at the town building at 105 Harrisville Main St. The agenda is here.

Bonus thing: Benefit tickets

As our bonus “thing” this week, we remind you that the deadline to purchase tickets for the event to benefit Augustine “Gus” Eddy is Tuesday, Feb. 28. The chicken dinner fundraiser will take place at Uncle Ronnie’s Red Tavern from 4 to 8 p.m. on Monday, March 6.
