Sunday cartoon: Never touch space heaters, kids

BURRILLVILLE – With the colder temperatures and winter weather making a return this upcoming week, it is important to make sure kids and everyone in your family are safe while utilizing space heaters in your apartment or home. Children should stay at least three feet away from space heaters.

This week’s Sunday feature and Fearless Dino Protector Squad Seasons Of Safety Fire Safety & Burn Prevention coloring cartoon is a great way to open up dialogue in your home with your children about space heaters safety. You can easily print out this child safety coloring cartoon and sit down with your kids and a box of crayons and/or colored markers and talk about staying safer while coloring together. If you happen to be a firefighter, teacher, daycare staff, pediatric doctor or nurse, safety advocate or community group leader, this is a great way to creatively keep kids and families safer in their apartments and homes.

If you are attending this week’s RI Home Show in Lincoln, on March 4 and 5, you might even consider making sure that this particular home fire safety and burn prevention coloring cartoon is copied and made available at this annual showcase for parents to bring home to their children. Any local Staples store could accommodate you in providing you with as many coloring cartoon copies as you need for distribution and handouts. If you are a firefighter, they might even provide them to you at no cost knowing it’s for fire safety and burn prevention child safety community outreach efforts at a busy venue in the state of Rhode Island.
