History night

Town Committee
The Burrillville Democratic Town Committee will hold a meeting on Wednesday, Feb. 22, starting at 6 p.m. in the conference room of Jesse Smith Memorial Library. Members of the public are invited to attend.
Job fair
A job fair will be held at the Eleanor Slater Hospital Zambarano campus on Wednesday, Feb. 22 from 10 a.m. to noon. The hospital is hiring CNAs, RNs, LPNs and MDs and candidates are instructed to bring a resume. Questions can be directed to (401) 567-5400.
Community Town Hall
Speaking of the hospital, members of the public are invited to attend a Community Town Hall regarding the future of the campus and state investment in the facility on Wednesday, Feb. 22, starting at 2:30 p.m. The meeting will be held at the Beazley Building Medical Library at 2090 Wallum Lake Road in Pascoag.

Conservation Conversations
The Burrillville Land Trust will host Conservation Conversations Thursday, Feb. 23 at George’s Pizza and Pub at 60 Pascoag Main St., from 6 to 8 p.m. One of the items that will be discussed is the effort to save Sweet’s Hill, a 150 acre lot located off of East Avenue in Harrisville.
The trust will purchase the pizza, and the cost for drinks or any other food items falls to attendees. The public is invited to attend.

Game night
The Burrillville Prevention Action Coalition will hold an open gaming night on Friday, Feb. 24 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Jesse Smith Memorial Library with consoles including XBox, Switch, Playstation and Oculus Quest. The event is open to kids in grade 6 through 12 and has a strict, “no in and out,” policy.
