BURRILLVILLE – Recently, I told everyone that I would create and develop coloring and activities cartoons for kids on Sundays, and here is the very first one to start off the New Year.
Kids can learn about buckle up safety with Buckleupallofus, while also participating with these types of activities cartoons along with parents, guardians, teachers, librarians, daycare staff, police officers, firefighters and child safety advocates. These types of coloring and activities cartoons sporadically appearing on my NRI NOW Sunday feature helps to build motor-skills, as well as opens up little minds when engaging with adults. Child safety can become fun, entertaining and educational at the same time with this creative format for little kids.
This week’s Bucky child passenger safety coloring and activities maze is a great way to launch these new content pages for you and your family. We will be providing standard coloring cartoons as usual, while also adding a variety of coloring and activities cartoons for children featuring my Intellectual properties all yearlong.
Child safety is a priority. Providing multiple tiers of creative formats and content elevates interest and expands our overall reach regarding kids and injury-prevention. Police and fire departments have already contacted me telling me these pages are growing in popularity and are being utilized as handouts in their communities to help keep kids and families safer. It’s not overwhelming right now, but it’s growing and it is reaching more, and more kids, so that’s a great start this year.

Jim Weicherding is a Burrillville resident, and the founder and creator of an award-winning traffic safety effort Seasons of Safety. Weicherding contributes kids’ coloring cartoons, which can be printed and used to help parents discuss safety issues with their children. He has a long list of police officers and firefighters in his family and has worked with law enforcement and firefighters in a creative public safety capacity for more than two decades.
