Northern, RI – It’s the last full weekend for Christmas shopping and some northern Rhode Island businesses are raising the bar, offering fun holiday events and activities as you purchase your presents.

Welcome to The Weekend, northern Rhode Island, your weekly guide to everything happening in our tri-town coverage area. As usual, there’s plenty to do and see, with holiday happenings, shoppertunities and special events all weekend long.

Tonight, celebrate the Burrillville High School girls hockey team at the unveiling of their championship banner at Levy Rink and stick around for the girls’ game, followed by Bronco boys game.

Saturday’s highlights include a Kids Holiday Craft Fair at Art Box Studio, and on Sunday, it’s a Christmas Fair at Bronco Crossing.

Mapleville Farm has extended its Cookie Spectacular, offering variety packs with a choice of 20 different cookies this weekend, and Wright’s Farm gift shop is donating five percent of their net sales to the Rhode Island Food Bank.
