GLOCESTER – Firefighters made quick work of a blaze Tuesday morning which started in a garage at a home on Tourtellot Hill Road, reportedly saving the house from any damages.

Town departments were called to the scene of the working fire around 6 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 13. No one was injured in the response and the fire was extinguished quickly, according to the homeowners.

The Oakland Mapleville Fire Department was among neighboring departments to provide mutual aid.

The house at 27 Tourtellot Hill Road belongs to David and Crystal Lee Trudeau, owners of Glocester-based business Listen to Your Art, and the family thanked responders on social media.

“We are so grateful for their quick response,” Trudeau noted in a post. “Thankfully, the fire was extinguished quickly and everyone is okay. We are so grateful that no one was hurt and our home did not withstand any damage.”

The business continued to hold classes on Tuesday.
