School holiday concerts
The Burrillville Middle School chorus concert will be held on Monday, Dec. 12 starting at 7 p.m. at the school at 2220 Broncos Highway. The public is invited to attend.
The Burrillville High School Music Department will host a holiday concert on Tuesday, Dec. 13 starting at 6:30 p.m. in the BHS auditorium at 425 East Ave. BHS Music Boosters will have a snack concession stand, a 50/50 raffle, raffle baskets and a tickets for a calendar raffle to be held in the month of January. Cash donations will be accepted at the door with all proceeds to go to the music department.
Paint party
The Burrillville Rocks group will hold a paint party on Tuesday, Dec. 13 at Uno’s Pizzeria & Grill at 371 Putnam Pike in Smithfield from 5 – 7:30 p.m. Kids eat free with each purchase of an adult meal. The Burrillville Elf aka Rock Father Roger Bourbonnierre will have small gifts for children, and attendees are asked to show up dressed for Christmas.
Coat giveaway
(I)mpact Youth with Glad Tiding Church will host a Winter Coat Giveaway on Saturday, Dec. 17 at the Stillwater Mill pavilion at 100 Tinkham Lane from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The group will have prayer and give away free winter gear, food and hot drinks while supplies last. Wrappers needed
The Burrillville Police Department is in need of wrappers to help prepare gifts for pickup for the annual Adopt-a-Family program. Six wrapping stations have been set up at the station to finish gifts for Burrillville families in need. Those who would like to help out are asked to call Lisa Rabideau at (401)568-9494 ext. 1.
