Monday night football

Looking for somewhere to watch the game? Lindy’s Tavern has announced that the business is now offering discounts and promotions during all New England Patriots games, including a buy one get one half price menu, free desserts, Patriots merchandise, $3 domestic draft beers and more.

Tonight, the team is playing the Arizona Cardinals in a game starting at 8:15 p.m.

New recycling hours

The North Smithfield Public Works Department has announced that yard waste collection has ended for the season, and the Highway Garage is now operating on winter hours. Seasonal hours for the recycling facility are Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., and the garage is now closed on Wednesdays.

Concert tickets

The North Smithfield High School Music Department will its hold annual holiday concerts on Tuesday, Dec. 20 and Wednesday, Dec. 21 at 7 p.m., and Thursday, Dec. 22 at 9 a.m.

Tickets are a $10, and the general public can purchase tickets in the main office of the high school at 412 Greenville Road starting Thursday, Dec. 15, as availability allows. Ticket sales begin Dec. 12-14 for performers only with a limit of five tickets per family.

Ticket sales continue for general admission from Dec.15-19 on a first come first serve basis with no limit.

Christmas Pageant

The Slatersville Congregational will host a Family Christmas Pageant on Sunday, Dec. 18 with interim pastor Rev. Linda Hartley. Families with children are invited to the pageant,, to be held during the service at 10 a.m., featuring children, the adult choir, and the hand bell choir. All children who attend that day will be invited to participate in the pageant, and then celebrate with special treats during coffee hour after the service.

Town meetings

The North Smithfield Town Council will hold a special meeting on Monday, Dec. 12 starting at 6:45 p.m. at Town Hall at 83 Green St. The agenda is here.

The North Smithfield Municipal Buildings Review Task Force will hold a meeting on Tuesday, Dec. 13 starting at 5:30 p.m. at the North Smithfield police station at 575 Smithfield Road. The agenda is here.

North Smithfield Fire & Rescue Service will hold a meeting on Tuesday, Dec. 13 starting at 6:30 p.m. at 1470 Providence Pike. The agenda is here.

The North Smithfield Zoning Board will hold a meeting on Tuesday, Dec. 13 starting at 7 p.m. at Town Hall at 83 Green St. The agenda is here.
