GLOCESTER – It may be an uncommon sight elsewhere in the state, but in Glocester, it’s just another Monday.

A loose pig in the area of Pulaski Road kept both residents and Animal Control busy on Monday, Nov. 28 as he ran for freedom.

The animal was eventual captured after an extended chase. By Monday night, he’d been picked up by the owner, was home in his barn.

“Just another day in Glocester…” noted the Glocester Police Department once the runaway pig was in custody. “Shoutout to our Animal Control, DEM Officers, and town residents for chasing this little pig around all day.”

On Tuesday morning, it was a loose donkey that captured the show, spotted first on Route 102 in Scituate then headed along Chopmist Hill and Snake Hill Road.

By 10 a.m., the donkey had also been captured and was back home with its owner.
