
Trick or Treat
If you’re looking for a place to head out Trick or Treating with the kids tonight, those in the know say the area near Harrisville Dam, where the homes are well-decorated and close together, is always a winner in town. For the past several years, one resident even took up a collection to help those passing out candy in the area.

Sneakers
Burrillville resident Jessica Hancock is now collecting gently worn and new sneakers for 261 Fearless Inc. Donation bins are located at New Rhode Nutrition and Jesse Smith Memorial Library.
BPAC Bronco 5K
This Sunday, Nov. 6, Burrillville Prevention Action Coalition’s annual 5K walk/run will take off from Burrillville High School at 9 a.m. The event raises funds for the organization’s ongoing prevention related events and activities, including scholarships for graduating Bronco seniors.

Upcoming adult programs
Jesse Smith Memorial Library has announced two special events for adults in November.
On Wednesday, Nov. 9 from 6:30- 7:45 p.m. join Linda & Steven Kornatz from the Scituate Preservation Society for an evening of discussion about George Matteson and his books.
On Tuesday,Nov. 15, it’s Chicken Bingo from 10 -11 a.m. in the library community room. Play Bingo for the chance to win a chicken from Wright’s Chicken Farm. No Registration is required for the free event, open to those age 18 and up.
Town meetings
The Burrillville Affordable Housing Board will hold a meeting on Thursday, Nov. 3 starting at 6 p.m. at the Town Hall Anne at 144 Harrisville Main St. The agenda is here.
