GLOCESTER – The Glocester Scarecrow Festival brought visitors to Chepachet on Saturday, Oct. 15, along with more than 130 creative displays from local residents, businesses and organizations.

The annual event features live entertainment, vendors and activities for families, as well as competition among participants to create displays that amuse, frighten and entertain guests.

In 2022, the festival featured a theme of, “Illumination,” with entrants challenged to create scarecrows that would also glow at night.

The scarecrows will remain on display throughout the village and the surrounding area through Halloween on Monday, Oct. 31.
