Northern, RI – Autumn is officially upon us and for many in New England, it’s considered the best time of year to be outdoors.
Northern Rhode Islanders will certainly get their chance to enjoy the fresh fall air this weekend with guided hikes, family festivals and even an all-day cornhole tournament at The Island. Events over the next several days include Alpaca Farm Days, outdoor yoga and the 13th annual Fun Shoot at Addieville East Farm.
Pumpkin and apple season is in full swing at Goodwin Bros. Farm Stand in North Smithfield, menawhile, and the store will be open for all your fall food and decor needs on Saturday and Sunday. And of course, northern Rhode Island venues have a full lineup of live music you can catch over the next four days.
Don’t forget to do your part to help the community this weekend: Swing by the town gazebo in Harrisville Saturday to help keep local children in need fed on the weekends, and on Sunday, visit Burrillville High School for a mattress fundraiser to benefit the BHS Cross Country Team.
It’s all close to home, in a three-town radius, and it all supports local people, businesses and organizations… so get out there and enjoy it.
