Primary voting
Schools will be closed on Tuesday, Sept. 13 as Burrillville residents have the chance to participate in a statewide primary from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Voters can find their polling location and view their sample ballots hereÂ
There will be no primary this year for Burrillville’s Town Council and School Committee races, but voters in both political parties do have choices for statewide races.

Tacos for volleyball
The Burrillvillle Girls Volleyball team is holding a fundraiser at The Taco Shop at 459 Chapel St. on Friday, Sept. 16 from 3 to 8 p.m. A portion of the proceeds from sales will benefit the team.
Basketball registration
Registration is now open for the Winter 2022-2023 Burrillville Youth Basketball Association session. Families of interested boys and girls ages 5 and up as of Thursday, Sept. 1 are encouraged to register at www.byba.org. Registration closes on Sunday, Oct. 2. Â
BYBA is in need of coaching volunteers. Interested coaches can sign up under Volunteer Opportunities at www.byba.org
Arts festival
The Burrillville Arts & Crafts Festival will take place Saturday and Sunday, September 17 and 18, on the grounds of the Assembly Theatre at 26 East Ave., starting at 10 a.m. both days. The festival features more than 100 vendors, live entertainment, food, libations, a laser light show and more.

Town meetings

The Burrillville Recreation Commission will hold a regular meeting on Monday, Sept. 12 starting at 6:30 p.m. Gonyea Park on High Street or at the DPW office at 200 Clear River Drive in the case of inclement weather. The agenda is here.
