Northern, RI – We know there’s a world outside of northern Rhode Island where towns offer festivals, fairs and fun all their own…. but wouldn’t you rather stay close to home?

Welcome to The Weekend, where we list all you can find to do in a three-town radius.

As we move into fall, many local businesses are changing their hours, and Cady’s Tavern will host the final bike night for the season. Brown & Hopkins will host a Fall Open House for a chance to stock up offering a chance to replenish your seasonal necessities, including Halloween decor.

Head to Harrisville Saturday for the annual Green Festival, and don’t forget to make stops in the area at Jesse Smith Library for a book sale and The Art Box Studio for recycled craft-making. Saturday is also Pascoag Community Baptist Church’s Fall Festival.

It’s opening weekend for the Burrillville Glocester Youth Soccer Association and the organization is still seeking volunteers for Saturday at 1407 Putnam Pike Chepachet. Sign up here.

On Sunday, a memorial service in Harrisville will mark the anniversary of the 9/11 tragedy and later in the day, locals can catch a classical music performance at Pascoag’s Grace Note Farm.

However you spend your time this weekend, we hope you enjoy it. If you make it out to these great local steps, tell them NRI NOW sent you.
