Trash holiday

There is no trash or recycling pickup on Monday, Sept. 5 in recognition of Labor Day, and town offices are closed. Pickup will be delayed one day for the remainder of the week. Any questions can be directed to the Department of Public Works Refuse & Recycling at (401) 568-4440 ext. 12.

Cash calendar

Burrillville Patriots Youth Football & Cheer has released their 2022 Cash Calendar, with chances to win money every day in October. Calendars cost $10 each, and can be purchased by check payable to BYFC or via Venmo @burrillvillepatriots.

The player or cheerleader who sells the most calendars will win a Nintendo Switch or a cash prize, so be sure to indicate the full name of the athlete who you wish to credit with your purchase.

There is no limit to the number of entries and each increase your chance of winning.

Free produce

The town of Burrillville’s senior services program has announced that free boxes of produce are available to residents who qualify. Those age 60 plus who meet income and other restrictions found here can sign up by contacting Site Coordinator Andrea Hall at (401) 710-7429 or ahall@burrillville.org.

The boxes of locally grown fruit and vegetables will be available for pickup in November and December.
