Sunday cartoon: Buckleupallofus & Holliston Police host National Night Out event

BURRILLVILLE – Buckleupallofus and the Holliston Police Department hosted a National Night Out event this past Tuesday, August 2, at Goodwill Park located in Holliston, Mass. The event took place from 6 until 8:30 p.m., with a live concert and many exhibits, including balloon slides and a bouncy house provided by the Massachusetts National Guard, right next to the Buckleupallofus giant balloon showcase and Children Across America display tables.

Hundreds of little kids were handed Bucky coloring cartoon pages reminding them to: “Cross Your Heart With Your Seatbelt…Somebody Loves You!” Hundreds of Bucky “Boost Up”- “Buckle Up” fridge magnets and stickers were also passed out to kids by Children Across America volunteers and Holliston police officers throughout the event.

Buckleupallofus was also a huge success at a Boston police department National Night Out Event hosted on Monday, August 1 in the Roxbury section of the city, with thousands of Bucky child passenger safety coloring pages, crayon boxes, fridge magnets and stickers being distributed to inner city kids and families. Fearless Dino Protector Squad Home Fire Safety and Burn Prevention coloring cartoons, fridge magnets and stickers were also passed out to everyone attending this annual event.

The Buckleupallofus giant balloon attraction will also be showcasing at the Annual Boston Seafood Festival today, Sunday, August 7, all day in the city, with thousands of child safety coloring cartoons, fridge magnets and stickers passed out to kids and families attending this very popular Boston event. Boston police officers and firefighters will be teaming up with Children Across America volunteers making sure that these important safety items will be taken home by as many kids and families as possible. Tens-of-thousands of people attend the annual Boston Seafood Festival every year.

Buckleupallofus giant balloon attraction is in high demand across New England and New York State this summer, with a lot more events returning from a two year hiatus attracting kids and families who are now directly impacted in a positive way, provided with all of these child safety take home coloring formats and products. Itty Bitty SUPER DUPERS “Be a Buddy, Not a Bully!” Campaign is winning the hearts of police officers, school teachers, parents, kids and community leaders across the region. This popular Anti-Bullying Campaign began in Burrillville grade schools, with the Burrillville Police Department passing out hundreds of Itty Bitty SUPER DUPERS coloring cartoons and fridge magnets to pre-K up to 3rd grade students. This campaign is sure to find its way into grade schools, daycares, libraries and community centers this coming school year.

Jim Weicherding is a Burrillville resident, and the founder and creator of an award-winning traffic safety effort Seasons of Safety. Weicherding contributes kids’ coloring cartoons, which can be printed and used to help parents discuss safety issues with their children. He has a long list of police officers and firefighters in his family and has worked with law enforcement and firefighters in a creative public safety capacity for more than two decades. Jim was also appointed to Children Across America as their events and creative director for their child safety programs initiatives and outreach kids safety campaigns nationwide.
