Northern, RI – It’s Father’s Day weekend and if you’re not home firing up the grill, there are plenty of chances to get out and celebrate dad – or to just enjoy the warm summer weather – in northern Rhode Island.

Start your weekend off the right way today by helping others at a blood drive in North Smithfield in memory of Scott Wright. At 5:30, drop off the kids at The Creative Room in Chepachet for a chance to make a Father’s Day craft.

Head into Harrisville Saturday for the Old Time Family Fair and enjoy free kids’ activities, horse-drawn carriage rides, raffles, food and more. Or hike with dad Saturday morning on nature and history walk with the North Smithfield Heritage Association.

Maybe dad would like a 4-pack of some locally brewed craft beer? Bravo Brewing Company in Pascoag starts its summer hours this week and is open every day but Tuesday.

There’s also still seating available for the Father’s Day Farm Breakfast Sunday morning at Mapleville Farms.

However you spend your this weekend, we hope you enjoy it, and find the time to check out some of these great local stops and activities.
