Senior class fundraiser

Hype Nutrition at 401 Putnam Pike will hold a fundraiser for the Ponaganset High School Senior Class now through Sunday, May 15 with a percentage of all sales of Ponaganset Pride Punch and Shakes to go to the class. Funds raised will help with senior activities.

Plant sale

The Ponaganset Future Farmers of America Chapter will be hosting their 2022 plant sale at the high school on Saturdays May 7 & 14 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Visit the ag building behind Ponaganset High School at 137 Aran Wade Road to choose from hanging baskets, annuals, bedding plants, vegetables, herbs, and geraniums.

Summer jobs

Glocester Recreation has announced that the town is now accepting applications for the summer jobs program for positions including lifeguards, parking attendants, tennis instructors and more. Employees will work 12 hours a week and earn $12.25 an hour.

Mother’s Day Craft Workshop

The Creative Room at 6 Money Hill Road will offer a Mother’s Day Craft workshop for kids on Thursday, May 5 and Friday, May 6 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. The drop off event for kids ages five and up costs $30 and includes a snack and water. Reserve spot at https://thecreativeroomri.com/special-events

Town meetings

The Foster-Glocester School Committee will hold a meeting on Monday, May 2 starting at 7:30 p.m. at Ponaganset High School at 137 Anan Wade Road. The agenda can be found here.

The Glocester Economic Development Commission will hold a meeting on Tuesday, May 3 starting at 7 p.m. at Town Hall at 1145 Putnam Pike. The agenda is here.

The Glocester Town Council will hold a special meeting on Wednesday, May 4 starting at 7 p.m. at Glocester Town Hall for an agenda found here.
