Blood drive announced

Knights of Columbus Council 383 will hold a blood drive at St. Partick’s Catholic Church at 45 Harrisville Main St. on Thursday, Jan. 27 from 3 to 7 p.m. All donors will receive a $5 gift card and will be entered into a weekly drawing to win a $500 e-gift card or a mirror home gym with a one year membership. Appointments are requested as walk in donations will only be accepted if safe spacing permits.

Masks are required and donors are reminded to eat, hydrate and bring identification.

New librarian

Jesse Smith Memorial Library is seeking a full time librarian to fill a new position in the children’s department. A review of applications for the position, which has a salary range of $42,000 to $45,000, will begin on () Jan. 21. View the complete ad for the job and instructions to apply here.

Winter programs

The Burrillville Parks & Recreation Department has released a schedule of 2022 winter programs including Zumba, Yoga for Seniors and Ukulele lessons, with most classes to be held at the Lodge.

Vaccination clinic

Jesse Smith Memorial Library will host a free COVID-19 vaccination clinic on Tuesday, Jan. 18 from 3 to 7 p.m. in the community room. Both Pfizer vaccines for those 12 and older and Moderna vaccine for those 18 and up will be administered. To register visit https://rb.gy/tat4vn.

The Burrillville Recreation Committee will hold a meeting on Monday, Jan. 10 at the Department of Public Works offices 200 Clear River Drive starting at 6:30 p.m. The agenda can be found here.
