Veteran’s Coffee

The Burrillville Allied Veteran’s Council will host coffee for veteran’s on Tuesday, Dec.14 at the Binn’s building at 111 Chapel St. in Harrisville from 9 a.m. to noon. Meet with local veteran’s advocates and get help signing up for VA benefits. The group holds the events on the second Tuesday of every month, serving coffee and light refreshments. Any Veteran who needs help with VA and government paperwork, or any other veterans issue is welcome.

Decorate ornaments with the Class of 2022

The Burrillville High School Class of 2022 will hold a Holiday Ornament Decorating event in the cafeteria of the high school at 425 East Ave. on Thursday, Dec. 16 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Kids are invited to create the holiday ornaments with members of the class at a cost of $3 an ornament or $5 for two. Peanut-free cookies and hot cocoa will be provided. The event will raise money to offset the cost of their senior prom tickets and to help pay for their senior class trip.

Kids Holiday Craft Fair

Art Box Studio will host a Kid’s Holiday Craft Fair on Saturday, Dec. 18 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. showcasing shopping and the work of young artists. Stop by the studio at 180 Tinkham Lane by Jesse Smith Library.

Open House

Solitude Health & Wellness Center at 1191 Victory Highway will hold a open house on Sunday, Dec. 19 from noon to 4 p.m. The business will sell raffle baskets with proceeds to go to a local food pantry and will also be accepting food donations. 

Town meetings

The Burrillville School Committee will hold a meeting on Tuesday, Dec. 14 starting at 6 p.m. in the Burrillville High School Cafeteria. The agenda can be found here.

The Burrillville Sewer Commission will hold a meeting on Tuesday, Dec. 14, starting at 6:30 p.m. at the Wastewater Treatment Facility at 141 Clear River Drive. The agenda can be found here.

The Burrillville Zoning Board of Review will hold a meeting on Tuesday, Dec. 14 starting at 7 p.m. at Burrillville Town Hall at 105 Harrisville Main St. The agenda can be found here.
