The North Smithfield Heritage Association has announced a new essay contest, open to students at all North Smithfield Public Schools. Students are asked to write an essay, a poem, or create a piece of artwork centered around the theme, “Historic North Smithfield,” in honor of the town’s 150th anniversary. Finalists will have their piece placed in a time capsule, with an opportunity to also be included in the forthcoming NS History Book.
All submissions must be emailed or delivered to Mrs. Carnevale, NSMS teacher, by Wednesday, Oct. 13 at vcarnevale@northsmithfieldschools.com
