Troupe Auditions

Inspirations Performing Arts, a traveling acting troupe that often partners with Burrillville’s Assembly Theatre, will hold auditions for the 2021 season at the East Avenue theater on Thursday, Sept. 16 starting at 7 p.m. Doors will open for application registration at 6:30 p.m. To learn more visit https://www.assemblytheatre.org/assemblyact

Basketball registration

Registration is now open for Burrillville Youth Basketball Association’s 2021/2022 season. The league has divisions for ages 5 and up and costs $85 per player. Learn more at byba.org.

BPAC meeting

The Burrillville Prevention Action Coalition will hold a meeting on Wednesday, Sept. 15 starting at 5 p.m. at the Wallace F. Lees Public Safety Complex. Join BPAC as members discuss, plan, and give updates on substance use prevention initiatives occurring within town and the region. Residents of Burrillville are always welcome.

Football fundraiser

Bravo Brewing Company will host a a fundraiser for the Burrillville High School football team on Wednesday, Sept. 15 from 5 to 9 p.m. with food from the Dinolicious Food Truck.

Car wash

The Burrillville Middle School Cheerleaders will host a car wash on Saturday, Sept. 18 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Binns Building at 211 Chapel St. Funds raised will go toward purchasing cheer mats for the team and donations will be accepted.

Weekend entertainment

On Friday, September 17, Tim Hart and George from “The Illusions” will play on the deck at Johnny’s Victory Diner from 6 to 9 p.m., weather permitting.

The Burrillville Arts & Crafts Festival will take place on Saturday, Sept. 18 from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday, Sept. 19 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Assembly Theatre. The free, two-day event will showcases talented artists and crafters from all over region with 113 vendors signed on this year. The festival will host entertainment by local bands both days, and ends with a laser light show on Saturday night. Visit NRI NOW for more details and schedules later this week.

Only a few weeks remain for the Burrillville Farmer’s Market, held on Saturday, Sept. 18 at the Stillwater Mill Pavilion from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Stick around after the market to join the Burrillville Land Trust for a sewing circle from 1 to 3 p.m. Join the fun as BLT and Friends of the Burrillville Land Trust get together to sew natural dyed cloth into one of a kind pieces.
