BURRILLVILLE – A car show every Saturday in Pomfret, Conn. is a great place to bring the family and help to raise funds for a great charitable cause.
The Tri-State Cruisers Car Club on the field next to Pizza 101 raises money for The Hole In The Wall Gang Kids Camp. Terminally sick children can enjoy this camp during the spring, summer and early fall months by participating in a wide range of outdoor activities. These activities helps these little kids forget about their health issues for awhile and just enjoy being a kid.
This car club has been raising money for The Hole In The Wall Gang Kids Camp for years, and helping kids attend the campgrounds during the nice weather seasons. Hundreds of classic car and truck owners arrive every week and support this wonderful charity. Donations are handed out at the car show entrance and there is also a 50/50 raffle that benefits this kids camp too.
Buckleupallofus giant balloon, reminding kids and families to be safe in their vehicles, has been showcasing at this weekly car show over the past five years on a regular basis. Starting in September, Buckleupallofus Cruisin’ Safety Coloring Posters will be passed out to all of the kids attending.
The car show begins around 3 p.m. and ends at dusk every Saturday, weather permitting. Come out, bring the kids, enjoy the classic rides and some great oldies, and help a charity that helps kids be kids.
And always remember to Buckle Up All Of Us!
