Division I Champs

Congratulations to the undefeated Burrillville Broncos High School varsity football team on winning the first Division I championship in team history. The Broncos clenched the regular season title game at Alumni Field with a 19-14 win Saturday, April 24 over Cumberland.

The win marks fifth consecutive division title for the team. The Broncos now move on to the semi-finals with a game against East Greenwich on Saturday, May 1 at Alumni Field starting at noon.

Leagues seek…

Burrillville Little League is in need of help in the concession and high school students are welcome to earn needed community service hours. Those interested should contact Autumn with their availability Monday through Friday.

The Burrillville Glocester Youth Soccer Association is seeking sponsors for the fall season. The league is sponsor looking to support 85 to 90 teams in 2021, and sponsor business names will appear on the back of team jerseys. To learn more and apply, fill out the form found here.

Armenian flag

For those who spotted the extra flag hanging outside of Burrillville Town Hall, the Armenian flag was raised in remembrance of the Armenian genocide, in which more than 1 million people were killed.
