To continue the celebration of North Smithfield’s 150th birthday, teacher Valerie Carnevale has engaged town schools for items to contribute to a time capsule. The North Smithfield Heritage Association plans to conduct essay, poem and illustration contests.
The NSHA Time Capsule Team has also begun collecting items from residents. Anyone who would like to donate items that depict life in 2021 is asked to use one of the NSHA drop off bins at Town Hall, at the Memorial Town Building, or at the Forestdale Schoolhouse. NSHA will seal the time capsule on March 23, 2022.
