The North Smithfield High School Class of 1971 has announced that applications are available for its 2021 scholarship.
In honor of its 50th class reunion, this scholarship is dedicated by alumni in loving memory of their deceased classmates.
The scholarship is being offered to a 2021 NSHS graduating senior who anticipates entering an accredited college, university or technical program. Applicants will be evaluated on the basis of need, academics, community/school involvement, potential, motivation and personal/teacher recommendations.
Applications are now available electronically through the student’s personal Google Classroom Account. Copies can also be obtained at the North Smithfield Public Library reference desk, or by emailing the committee chairperson directly at JMarion353@cox.net.
Completed applications must be submitted to the guidance office by the deadline date of Friday, May 14. The scholarship will be presented to the recipient on Senior Awards Night.
